Suite for Ma Dukes Orchestra - Take Notice (from J Dilla’s Ruff Draft)

I was supposed to go see this in LA with my friend Billy last year. I was soooo bummed out when he called me the morning we were going to leave and told me that he coudn’t make it, he was driving so there went my ride. Either way, the videos are moving enough and it’s truly amazing that this Suite For Ma Dukes even happened. A full orchestra? Playing Dilla’s music in honor of him and how incredible his music is? That’s absolutely unheard of!

On the bright side, it’s probably better that I didn’t go with Billy. I probably would have shed a few tears at this concert and so would have Billy. Two grown men within 20 miles of each other + tears = Crazily awkward.
