As far as I can recall, this is the first good Jazz tumblr I’ve found in a while. It’s Concise and just in depth enough. And whoever the author is really knows his stuff. If you’re into jazz, I would highly suggest taking a look at this blog. And if you’re not into jazz, this is a good time and place to start.
C-Plus - Viernes Negro (Black Friday) EP
C Plus releases a freEP to celebrate the epic shopping holiday. Having spent 5 years+ working retail and having a background in fashion, Black Friday seemed like the perfect occasion to leak a few tracks off of his upcoming debut album: “All C.I.T.Y.” (dropping March 2011) Viernes Negro features Gameboy, Chuuwee + production from Chase Moore, So Crates, Jon Reyes, Billy Hi-Life, Spark Makes, Easy, Lee Bannon, N Pire, Resinate & MORE!
everything from the Sac camp had been fire!! make sure you cop em all!
additional production: @Carlo_Keys (Instant Vintage)
Don’t have much background information, but i’m sure this track was made awhile ago and just never got put out (or @ least not that i know of). Diamond West is a collaboration duo consisting of Idiogenius & The Scientist Double D. For more information check out Double D’s blog over @ Graveyard Shiftin’ and look out for another beat tape from Idiogenius as a part of the loops & legends series.
I’m no hypebeast, I can’t afford to be. I am a fan of streetwear though, especially when brands like The Hundreds pair up with my favorite childhood comic characters to make a line of clothing, apparel, and skateboards. I stumbled up on this at F5torefresh.com, a fashion and culture blog that has constant (and I do mean constant) updates on the latest streetwear, shoes, music, etc. Check em’ out when you get a chance.
P.s. - If you love me, get me the Garfield x The Hundreds crewneck, yeah? I’d love you forever…or atleast until they collab with my other favorite childhood cartoon.
(oh, and Qunicy Jones is the father of Rashida Jones which definitely gives him some bonus points)
- My brother, Lico, in response to me somewhat defending Kanye (See Quincy Jones quote below)
