CAT

To dream that a cat is biting you, symbolizes the devouring female. Perhaps you are taking and taking without giving. You may be expressing some fear or frustration especially when something is not going as planned.

I had a dream last night that my mom brought home a cat (which is weird because she hates cats) and while were chillin watching some reality show the cat just up and attacks me. It jumped on my back and was basically hugging me, when I reached to pet it the motherfucker bit me with all it’s teeth; a full on chomp. Finally my mom got him off me and when I looked over at him to give him a very well deserved “FUCK YOU” he gave a me a straight up human smile.

So apparently this means I’m being an asshole to my mom or that my move back to California isn’t going as I had planned it. Way to be just vague enough Dream Mood!

Ghost Bike, Carlson Dr & H Street, Sacramento, CA

Ghost Bikes are small and somber memorials for bicyclists who are killed or hit on the street. A bicycle is painted all white and locked to a street sign near the crash site, accompanied by a small plaque. They serve as reminders of the tragedy that took place on an otherwise anonymous street corner, and as quiet statements in support of cyclists’ right to safe travel.

I saw one of these for the first time a few weeks ago. I was with a few friends and we just thought it was someone’s trendy fixed gear boldly locked up on a street corner. Once I found out that they were actually memorials for downed cyclists I actually felt a little bad for gawking at it. Though the aesthetics of the memorial are quite a sight to see, you can’t help but have a somber feeling when you see them.

I think this is one of the greatest memorial ideas though. I’ve read that a lot of people like to think of it as some sort of political statement but quite simply it’s the cyclist community recognizing that one of there own has been lost. I recently starting cycling and have quickly realized how little attention both cyclists and motorists pay to each other. Whether biking or driving, please ride safe and alert so that less of these memorials will have to sprout up.

HoneyBee Clothing Model Search

I’m helping my friend Melissa get a start on her new clothing line called HoneyBee Clothing. She dabbled in tote bags last year but this summer she’s launching a bikini line. We’re eventually going to be throwing a fashion show in June for which we’re currently looking for models.

This weekend we’ll be holding a model search from 11AM- 2PM at Tre Night Club (1212 Howe Street, in the Old Navy shopping center) in Sacramento. Women in the area please come through and join us. All sizes are currently welcome, wearing a bikini is optional but she asks that you wear something that shows off your figure. There will be girls there taking measurements and headshots will be taken by R. Velasco Photography.

It’s going to be a really fun year for this clothing line. I hope to see some people come out. Stay tuned for more details on the fashion show and HoneyBee clothing.
